System Settings

   System Requirements:   Computer with Internet connection, Windows XP service pack 3 or Windows Vista service pack 2 or Window7. Following system settings are also required according to version of Internet Explorer.

5. Adobe Reader 7 (or above) and JRE 1.7 or above is required to use your DSC. Click the following links to download the same:

7. For Installation of supporting DLL Files:
1. Download DLL files and save on your System.
2. Unzip(You will find 5 files there in).
3. Right click on xmldependents.inf -> Click on install.

(A) Security Settings for Internet Explorer - 6 to enable Digital Signatures
 
Follow this sample guide to change your Internet Explorer Security Settings. This will enable you to use your Digital Signature Certificate and to encrypt the bids.
1. Ensure you have only one Internet Explorer Window open. Go to Tools->Internet Options.
2. Click the Security Tab at the top. Click the Internet icon then click 'Custom Level'
3. Make following settings :
Automatic Prompting for ActiveX Controls ->Disable
Binary and script behaviours ->Enable
Download Signed ActiveX Controls ->Enable
Download UnSigned ActiveX Controls ->Disable
Initialize and Script Activex controls not marked as safe ->Enable
Run ActiveX Controls and Plugins ->Enable
Script Activex controls marked safe for scripting ->Enable
Allow Scriptlets ->Enable
      Reset custom settings to "Medium" or "Medium-high".
4. For uploading documents ensure the following Internet Explorer setting
4.1   Go to Tools->Internet Options->Advanced : Uncheck "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" under Security heading.
4.2   After Installing JRE 1.6. Go to Tools->Internet Options->Advanced: Check "Use JRE 1.6.0 for Applet" under Java (Sun) heading.
4.3   Setting Of Manage Add-ons
Go to Tools->Manage Add-ons: Select "Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer" from the drop down and enable the status of Add-ons Names as marked.

(C) Security Settings for Internet Explorer - 8,9 to enable Digital Signatures
Follow this sample guide to change your Internet Explorer Security Settings for Internet Explorer version 8 on Windows XP or Vista or Windows 7 Operating System. This will enable you to use your Digital Signature Certificate and also Encryption of bids.
1. Ensure you have only one Internet Explorer Window open. Go to Tools->Internet Options.
2. Click the Security Tab at the top. Click the Internet icon then click 'Custom Level'
3. Make following settings :

ActiveX controls

Allow previously unused ActiveX controls to run without prompt ->Enable
Allow Scriptlets ->Enable
Allow prompting for ActiveX controls ->Enable
Binary and script behaviours ->Enable
Display video and animation on a webpage that does not use external media player ->Disable
Download signed ActiveX controls(not secure) ->Enable
Download UnSigned ActiveX Controls ->Disable
Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe for scripting(not secured) ->Enable
Only allow approved domains to use ActiveX without prompt ->Enable
Run ActiveX Controls and Plugins ->Enable
Script Activex controls marked safe for scripting ->Enable
 
Miscellaneous (IE 8 & IE 9)
Include local directory path while uploading files to a server ->Enable

4. For uploading documents ensure the following Internet Explorer setting

4.4 Users need to make sure that the site(s) should be added in trusted sites list as shown below(This is not mandatory for all cases)
Note: After the settings are successfully done, the users may come across some component related alerts/pop-ups while working in the MATEXAUCTIONS application for the first time. The below given alerts are general to IE6, IE7, IE8 and IE9.
•Always trust content from this publisher? should be checked and then click on ?Yes? button.
•Always trust content from this publisher? should be checked and then click on Run button.
Please click on Allow button. When Java has discovered application components that could indicate a security concern? alert.
